Today was the first day of spring practice. Can't believe that it's here already. Coach Turner said, "...it seems like we were just out here...". It was a little strange not having Coach Fitch there, who is still recovering from surgery. We will try to hold down the fort in his absence, and wish him well in his recovery.
It was great to see so many kids out for day 1. The interest in being a Monsoon is definitely on the rise. We had a few former players show up to watch practice. The first former player was Brandin Ward, currently playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Showing up shortly after that was Foe Fonoti, who's on his way to play for the Michigan State Spartans.
We also had a college coach on a recruiting visit watching practice on day 1. His presence really inspired the guys to perform well. All-in-all, it was a great 1st day. Great to be back!
